What museums are near Sword Beach?

Near Sword Beach, you can find two main museums. One is the Museum of No. 4 Commando in Ouistreham. The other is the Grand Bunker, also called the Museum of the Atlantic Wall. If you head a short distance inland, the Pegasus Memorial is close by too.

  • Museum of No. 4 Commando: Dedicated specifically to the French forces under Philippe Kieffer who landed on Sword Beach.
  • Pegasus Memorial (Ranville): Located slightly inland, focusing on the daring British airborne glider assault that secured the vital river crossings hours before the beach landings.
