Is it free to visit Omaha Beach?

You can go to Omaha Beach itself at any time of the year, and it is free for everyone. No one checks tickets at the sand. You do not pay to walk where the 1944 D-Day landings took place.

The beach area and the Normandy American Cemetery also do not charge admission fees. Still, you should plan to bring money if you want to visit nearby museums run by private groups or local authorities. Parking close to the main entry areas, like Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer and Vierville-sur-Mer, is usually free too. That helps independent visitors reach the main historic spot with less hassle.
