Is Isla de la Luna worth visiting?

Isla de la Luna is fully worth visiting, especially if you are into ancient history and like seeing well-preserved remains. It feels way quieter, less commercialised, than Isla del Sol, and that alone makes the trip feel calmer, more personal. The main focus is the Temple of the Virgins of the Sun, also called Iñak Uyu.

If you enjoy historical isolation, even a bit of solitude, this smaller island can be genuinely interesting. It contrasts sharply with the larger neighbour, so you get a deeper sense of Incan religious practices, without the same crowds. In Copacabana, many tour operators sell combined half-day excursions where you see both the sun island and the moon island.
