How to get from Paris to Giverny?
Getting to Giverny from Paris is easiest by train. Take a direct service from Gare Saint-Lazare to Vernon-Giverny. The trip is roughly 50 minutes.
After you arrive in Vernon, you still have a short stretch to cover. Use a shuttle bus or take a taxi for the last 5 kilometres. You can also drive if you prefer. A car ride takes about 1.5 hours on the A13. Still, the train usually saves you the hassle of Paris traffic. It is often cheaper too. When you get to Vernon-Giverny station, look for bicycle rentals near local cafés. Riding along the marked route towards Monet’s Garden is a good way to see the Norman countryside up close.
