How far is Chimgan from Tashkent?

The Chimgan mountain resort area is located around 85 kilometres northeast of Tashkent. Under everyday traffic conditions, the drive usually takes about 1.5 to 2 hours by car, give or take a bit depending on the road.

The route feels very scenic; it changes fast from the flat city sprawl of the capital into the rolling foothills of the Ugam-Chatkal National Park, and on the way, it also passes by the massive Charvak Reservoir. Travellers can get to the mountains without too much hassle: they can hire a private taxi for the whole day, or purchase a shared minivan seat from the Buyuk Ipak Yuli metro station, or they can ask for an arrangement via a local tour agency in Tashkent.
