Can you see bunkers at Utah Beach?

Yes. A number of real German bunkers can still be seen at Utah Beach, and you can visit them. One of the clearest examples is the command bunker, labelled WN5. It has been built into the Utah Beach Landing Museum as part of the site.

Along this part of the Atlantic Wall, a lot of the original work is gone. Some parts were damaged in the sea bombardment. Other parts were covered later as dune sand shifted over the years. Still, the sections that remain give a direct view of the defences the Axis forces set up. Inside the museum’s incorporated bunker, people can look at the communication area used by German units on the morning of 6th June. The display includes restored items from that time.
