At Aydarkul Lake, swimming is allowed, and those calm, mildly saline waters make a refreshing break during the blazing summer days. There are no bans that keep tourists from stepping into the water.

Along the wide shoreline, you can spot several sandy and pebbly beaches. Since this region stays mostly undeveloped, you will not encounter lifeguards, dressing rooms, or sun loungers, so visitors should pack their own towels and needed items. The water is at its best, in terms of comfort, from June through September. Be mindful, too, of sudden depth changes, because the underwater layout of this man-made lake can feel unpredictable.
