Can tourists visit the Tashkent TV Tower?

Tourists can visit the Tashkent TV Tower and go up to the observation deck, plus the revolving restaurant. The tower, which is among the tallest structures in Central Asia, gives visitors unreal 360-degree panoramic views across Uzbekistan’s capital.

Most people use the fast lifts to reach the main platform, about 94 metres above the ground. From that height, you can plainly see how Tashkent spreads out, including green parks, historical monuments, and newer modern developments. On top of that, there is the Koinot revolving restaurant complex. It has two separate dining levels, with one level focused on traditional Uzbek cuisine and the other serving European dishes.

Since the tower acts as a vital national broadcasting facility, security stays quite strict. For international visitors, you have to show a valid original passport right at the entrance, before you can get tickets, and then proceed through security checkpoints. If you want better photography conditions, going in the late afternoon gives great lighting and also lets you watch the sunset over the city.
