Where to see dinosaur footprints in Sucre (Cal Orck’o)?
You can see more than 5,000 dinosaur footprints at the Cal Orck’o palaeontological site, which sits entirely inside the active Fancesa cement quarry just outside Sucre. It feels a bit unreal.
To reach the tracks, visitors have to go through the nearby Parque Cretácico (Cretaceous Park). The park runs daily shuttle buses, called the Dino Truck, from Sucre’s main square, and they also provide guided walks that lead you straight down to the base of the massive limestone wall, where the tracks run vertically.
