Most of the worst cases really trace back to the rider, like taking the turns at an excessive pace, showing off, or losing grip on the loose rocks close to the drop. A smaller but still meaningful part of the mishaps comes from budget tour operators, who neglect to service brake pads and keep suspension components working across the whole fleet.
