How to book a stargazing tour in Salar de Uyuni?

You can book a stargazing tour straight through local tour agencies in Uyuni or online, ahead of time. Usually, these are separate 3- to 4-hour outings that leave town around 2:00 AM, or 3:00 AM sometimes.

Salar de Uyuni has some of the strongest stargazing worldwide because there is basically zero light pollution and the elevation is high. In the wet months, the water mirrors the Milky Way, so it feels like you are drifting in deep space. Just make sure you wear your warmest layers, because before dawn on the flats the air is painfully cold.
