What monuments are at Utah Beach?
Utah Beach has many monuments close together. The Higgins Boat Monument stands out. You can also see the Federal Monument right on the dunes. Nearby is the Lone Sailor statue, which honours US Navy personnel.
Around the Musée du Débarquement, the grounds feel like an outdoor memorial. Visitors come across markers for units, including the 4th Infantry Division and the 90th Infantry Division. There are also plaques for leaders, such as General J. Lawton Collins. Red granite markers sit across the dunes. The setting is quiet, and it helps you focus on what the landing meant in terms of logistics and the cost to people.
