How long to spend at Omaha Beach?
Plan on setting aside two to three hours for Omaha Beach. That should let you walk along the sand, stop at the Les Braves monument, and look at the historical overlooks.
Omaha Beach is the best-known landing area of the D-Day sites, and it was heavily built up. Because the space is so large, it helps to take your time just to get oriented. Many people pair this stop with the Normandy American Cemetery, which is up on the bluff right above the shoreline. If you want to look around the cemetery, check out the visitor centre, and also see the German strongpoints along the coast, plan closer to four hours.
